Camp Information:
The Will Rogers Centennial Trail head is northeast of Tulsa on highway 169, then 3 miles east on 88 just past the spillway on the north side of the road… (From Claremore, follow Hwy 88 North 8 miles.)
There are 18 miles of equestrian and hiking trails. The trails begin at Will Rogers Centennial trailhead and go northeast past the Blue Creek Campground. There is also a loop due north called Kite Hill.
The day parking at Blue Creek is just inside the gate to Blue Creek camp, on the left where the dump station is located. There are several other day parking areas adjacent to the lake that are marked on the brochure.
There is a primitive equestrian camp in the Blue Creek Campground with 7 sites with room to park a horse trailer (sites 56-61). The sites have picnic tables and fire rings. There are two horse pens (each) near sites 57 & 58. There is no electricity but there is a shared water hydrant. There is a vault toilet within walking distance from the sites. A bathhouse is a short drive in the other part of the camp. The Blue Creek campground is closed during winter but the trail head is still accessible.
The trails are closed during deer muzzleloader and deer gun seasons.
